    USB-Parallel Port Question

Has any one seen or know where I can find a USB-Parallel port converter, well there are some on ebay, but will they still control my cnc? or do I need some other device. You just cant find a laptop with a Parallel port any more.

Thanks for any help or direction.

In general, USB to parallel port converters are not suitable for use in controlling a CNC.

If you have a desktop PC you can probably get a PCI or PCI-E parallel port expansion board that can do the job.

Alternatively there are CNC controllers available that are designed for use with a USB (or wired ethernet) connection.

Cables to Go has all you conversion needs. You will prbably need a "Null Modem adaptor" as well.
