Hi everyone.
I'm totally new at this, so please bare with me. I bought 10 years old cnc cutter with Isel servo controller and Siemens micromaster drivers. Everything worked fine until yesterday pc broke down. After changing motherboard, pc started to work again, but fail to communicate (I guess that is the problem) with servo controller.
After I started software that operates with machine, I have to hit ok button to put cutter to zero position (I guess this is the right therm). Then black screen comes up asking me to hit the power button on servo controller and press enter (like it should be). This is where the problem starts. I press the power button, but the light doesn't goes on and cutter doesn't move to zero position. All the lights on servo controller (on the back) are turned on like they should be.
Here is my question. What could be wrong? Do I have to install some new drivers? Make settings in bios? Run some software? I have no clue where to start looking or what to do. Can someone give me some pointers?
Hardware:
Isel 4 achs servocontroller cv 4p
Siemens Micromaster drivers 6se92
PC runs on OS/2 Warp
Extension cards for pc are for ISA slots
What could it be? Problem with communication between pc and Isel or maybe extension card is also dead? How do I know?
Thank you so much for any info that I might get.
