Hello all.
I have began getting parts and circuitry together for my first desktop router build. I plan on using 3 of this motor here along with a Fireball V90 from Probotix. I had initially intended on following these instructions (Schematic here) to make three boards to drive the motors. I would be powering it all with this 24v/50w/2.1a PSU.
However, taking in considerations from elsewhere online, I have come to believe that the performance delivered by those driver boards will be less than optimal.
Basically I am looking for a parallel port 3-axis controller which will give me acceptable performance. Acceptable to me is being able to cut through most wood with no problem. Aluminum would be nice, but I understand the motors may not be up to that task. I don't need any fancy features beyond over-current protection, and I'd like it to cost $30-$50 if this is at all possible.
Any help would be appreciated, please let me know if I'm asking the impossible as far as price goes.
Thank you!
-Steve
