I'm working on my first CNC table design (may have dove in to far to fast but oh well, pin it to win it right) anyways. I'm looking through the manual for the DSPMC controller and it says that it takes the Servo's encoder information directly. However, The automation direct servo amp I have is setup to read the encoder. I'm trying to figure out how to deal with this. I already have the AMP and servos (2x) so I would like to try and use them. This is more for fun and a learning experience.

The amps can communicate via RS485 if any one knows of a way to tie every thing together with that it would be awesome! (at least I think)

The servo system I have is the 1KW system SVL-2100 Amp and SLV-210B Motor w/break. I got it for free from a company that went under a year or so ago. been trying to find something cool to do with them.
