New guy here...
Hi everybody,
I'm new here and in the world of CNC. Also excuse my english, I don't live in english speaking area.
Anyway, I decided to build a small 3 axes CNC machine.
Since I primarily work with wood, CNC will be used for that purpose. I got some steper motors from old printers and I thought of building the body of CNC from wood or aluminium.
Now the problem comes to the electronics. Since I don't have access to large amounts of money, I wanted to make the breakout board and controllers by myself. But, the problem is, I can't find any schematics.
So I'm asking you if you could help me out here, give me some links, advices etc.
And apologies if there is already a similar thread, I searched but ended up with nothing :P
Hope to get some help from the experts here and to become a useful memeber one day
Greetings from Croatia
p.s
once more, sorry for the bad english

Here is a "DIY" breakout board:
Four Axis Interface ST - PMinMO.com
There is a lot of other useful information on the Pminmo.com site.
Here is an example of a DIY motor driver (for small to medium sized unipolar stepper motors):
Linistepper V2 Build Instructions
And here is another example of a DIY motor driver (for small bipolar stepper motors):
Easy Driver stepper motor driver

Thanks guys, these are great. But I have a little dilemma here - I forgot to mention that these motors have only 4 wires, not 6. Do I need to change them?
Since I only need a cutting area of about 30 cm x 30 cm...
Thanks very much for the links

4-wire motors should work with bipolar stepper drivers.
