    help with c10 parallel breakout

    hi there,

i build a cnc router which by now runs with easydriver stepper boards connected to an arduino. everything is fine to this line.

then i wanted to replace the arduino with a c10 parallel breakout board, as i want to run my cnc router with mach3. but i am totally stuck at the moment as i donīt get motors to turn or switches getting recognized in mach3.

what i did by now beside reading through several forums was:

checking the parallelcable - is ok
    checking easydrivers - are ok
checking mach3 driver with drivertest - is ok
setting motors and switch up in mach3

please have a look on my wiring, if this is correct.

i would be glad if someone could help me, because i am totally confused at the moment. have a nice day and thank you in advance.

    Question

    Bingbang,

Your wiring looks fine, try setting the jumpers to the positions documented on the diagram attached to this post.

    Question active low?

    Bingbang,

Do you have Mach3 configured to active low?

    See attached image,

    MaxMekker,

Pin 10 is the default E Stop in Mach3, when it goes low it will E Stop.

the thing is that the switch that i connected and setup in mach3 is also not responding on the diagnose page in mach3. for me either the c10 is dead (what i dont think) or the parallelcable (that i measured from pins to pins) is defect - therefore i already ordered another cable.

    itīs really strange. ;(

    Question

    Bingbang,

Will the reset (icon) switch in Mach3 go from red to green when you toggle it?

    Question

    Bingbang,

Do the DRO numbers change when you jog an axis?

Can you measure the voltage on pins 2 & 3 while you jog the axis?

if the dro numbers are the ones representing the position of the axis - then yes they do move. i will check pins 2 and 3 in a moment.
