    Tosnuc 888 controller

I'm trying to get my Toshiba Tosnuc 888 controller to dripfeed from my server. We use Predator dnc and per my VAR, we have the set up correct on the software side, but need to get the controller to react. They tell me I should be looking for something that says tape or dnc, so that when we upload from Predator it doesn't try to pump this lengthy program all into memory. Well, I don't see anything that tells me to go to tape or dnc, they are all rs232 ports.

Do I have to set up one of these ports to act as a tape reader/dnc port? And if so, where do I do this on the machine tool controller.

    Thanks in advance,

    Joe

I asume your using the remote mode on the controller and sometimes after selecting remote mode on the dial yoiu have to select which port you want to use on the soft keys. Tosnuc contollers are very tempremental and all the setting on the port have to be exactly correct for them to work. Maybe check you braud rate at each end, etc.

    Cheers
