    Strippit 1000xp COMM setup

Hi. I have an old 1000xp strippit with apple controller. So far we've been using floppies to upload programs. I recently hooked up a RS422 cable to the back of the controller and to a PC (about 150ft length).

Do I need a RS422 to RS232 converter on the PC end?

Has anyone configured serial comm to this machine? There is a COMM application on both ends and it looks like on the controller the COMM app is used to set the settings and then I think I can put the machine in EDIT mode to read the data.

I haven't had any luck so far.

I am in Chicago and anyone local is welcome to stop by the shop.

    Thanks
    Chris

    Hi,
We offer a complete retrofit package for this machine. We are based in the UK and are associated with LVD/Strippit who manufactured this machine. The control is PC based, touch screen, graphical and runs all your existing G/M code programs. Can be fitted by yourselves or we offer an installation service.
