Controller board to Parallel Port. | | hi, new here, so apologies if this is the wrong section (though it looks like the right section to me). so I have a stepper motor and a stepper controller (Anaheim Automation MBL536) and I need to know if I can wire a parallel connection into it, and where each wire would go. I have taken notes on the layout of the controller (which is already in a larger 3-axis machine as it is), and it's current input configuration. it, and the other controller boards in the machine, are connected to a central board, and through this I have deduced that of the 13 jumper positions on the controller board, the central board only connects to positions 4, 6, 8, 9 and 10. I figure these are the positions used to control the motor in question.
I have researched parallel ports and am still unsure of the pin-out as it would relate to this device.
is what I am attempting feasible, and if so how would I position the wires? |
