    Question power up

Hi, I powered up my controller board today for the first time, motor goes tight, supply at it, but not turning. My question is where do I start to check what is wrong?

Hi, the boards are from Geoff Williams book and the software is Kcam.I have powered up the board without the computer on and there is a voltage on the motor, so i think it must be hardware and not software.

    Red face It works

Hi, found the problem with my stepper board, it now works. It was such a simple thing, but it took a while to find, the answer was, I looked at the interface board the wrong way round, thinking pin 17 was pin 1.
Now I will carry on with making the other two boards, wish me luck.
