I use the SMC-4DF-PCI controller to control 2 stepper motors in my CNC Router (timing belt drive). This controller has some API functions to perform some particular tasks (such as running straight line with a set speed...). I use these API functions to code a program which divide the movement along a curve to many straight short lines. The CNC Router did perform the curve but the problem is the movement isn't smooth. There are many lags because the motors change their states run/stop/run when they reach a point. So I want to ask about how actual CNC Router perform a curve? Sorry about my English and thank you for reading my issue! |
