I have 2 of these thinking to use one on my press break for the back gauge any thougts on this?

It will perform that function quite easily, the trick will be the operator interface, you could look at the Maple Systems products, they come up on ebay regularly, they have software geared for Galil products among others.
The Back gauges I have done, I have used the DMC-600 or 1000 with the Opint s/w this makes for a nice solution.

Thanks AL thats what i wanted to hear.I used to fab bases for a co. that used dmc 600 on ther equment they built. I will look into the Opint s/w and then the questions will start thanks again AL you are the MAN

Kevin, I will have to help you if you want Opint, Galil do not support it anymore due to it only runs on legacy products 600/1000.
I have done a couple of Cincinnati point to point mills, several back gauges, a Automatic cut-off lathe and a CNC Rolling machine, to name a few.
The DMC-1000 is the better way to go than the 600.
