Hello,
Did you resolve this issue? I have the same problem.
Dead screen on power up. I had been thinking the CRT had just failed.
Appreciate any advice.
Thanks
Paul
Hello,
I just got a Gildemeister CTX400. When I power it up the monitor doesn´t show anything, The previous owner told me that his technicians had pulled the battery pack out of the ZP186 module in addition to pulling all the other modules out and putting them back in the EPL2.2. Currently the ZP186 module has L3, L4, L5, L6 red and the SP/FG, and BFI modules have L1, L2, L3, L4 red. I´ve tested the voltage to the monitor it is recieving 220v and the 15 pin DB conector is conected to the monitor and the other en 9 pin DB is conected to the SP/FG module. My question is if the eprom needs to be flashed again to get the monitor running if so can anyone help with the steps to do so.
Thanks,
Bradley

Hi Paul,
I haven't resolved the problem yet. I did contact DMG Mori. They sugguested I change the battery and reload the parameters. They also sent me a standard set of parameters for the CTX 400. I'm trying to find out if there is a way to load the parameters through the rs232 port on the zp186 module. However, I'm not sure how to tell it to receive the parameters since the monitor is dead. Maybe someone else knows how to do that.

Bradley
