    Truth in computer shopping

Buying new computers is always stressful for me simply because I've never known what to select. I know what I want to do with my computer, and just like everyone else, I'd like for it to be as fast as possible. But I don't want to spend money to get performance that's undetectable. I've looked at some configurators but really haven't found one I could use with my limited knowledge. Dell's advisers talk in generalities. No help. I'm determined to find the sweet spot. Can anyone point me to a site or a person who can help me dial it in? Thanks

For start you could tell for what do you need computer and someone could tell you what power you need (or dont need). You could go to forum of program/s you intend to use and ask what is min/best buy/high end configuration for it.

Its not very hard to shop a computer, using the computer is different from buying. You can choose any computer that fit with your work. But only the operating system installed in your computer will help you to perform or do easy in use for you.
