Recently bought a new printer card of ebay. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/High-IEEE-1284...QQcmdZViewItem I ran out of pins on my other port so installed this one so I could have a zero plate for my machine. Unfortunately its earthing at the card(disconnected printer cable and same thing happened). I have used the the zero plate on my other card and everything is OK. Is their anything I can do to fix it or is it buy a replacement? Using MACH and Hobby CNC board. |

The card won't heal itself. ![]() Some cards are more forgiving than others. You should be able to do this with any printer card. The blown card is revealing that there is an underlying problem. You have some sort of current flow when you are disconnecting the cable. Are the mill, Hobby CNC board, and computer all connected to the same electrical circuit / earth? Do you have static protection? Are all the earths hooked up? Are all the chasis' grounded. |
