can anyone tell me where to find a 12" to 14" lcd monitor? i need 8 of them. i also need 2, 10.4" lcd monitors. so far i found prices from 750$ to 1700$ for 12.1" (not touch screen) i just can't find reason to buy them when i can get a 19" from any computer store for around 200$ there must be somewhere to get them for less than 750$ any leads would be helpfull. |

| Are you looking for bare bones LCD? Separate controller etc? Panel mount? You could check with Earth LCD, they also sell the LCD and slot controllers. Al.

| Is there a way to disconnect a laptop lcd screen and use it in a video port from a regular desktop computer ? This may not be the forum for this but any help would be appreciated, moderators move this if this not where it belongs. Thanks to all.

| The simple answer is no, if you obtain a bare bones LCD screen, it requires a special driver firmware, which in the case of the Laptop is usually built into the MB. The separate PC LCD monitors accept VGA/SVGA signal and have built in LCD drivers. If you obtain a Bare LCD screen then you can get a card that fits a PC slot to drive the LCD, these usually have dedicated processor IC's designed for LCD drive matrixing. If you visit the EarthLCD site, it will show examples. Al.
