replacment monitors

can anyone tell me where to find a 12" to 14" lcd monitor?
i need 8 of them. i also need 2, 10.4" lcd monitors.
so far i found prices from 750$ to 1700$ for 12.1" (not touch screen)
i just can't find reason to buy them when i can get a 19" from any computer
store for around 200$
there must be somewhere to get them for less than 750$
any leads would be helpfull.

Buy me a Beer?

Are you looking for bare bones LCD? Separate controller etc?
Panel mount?
You could check with Earth LCD, they also sell the LCD and slot controllers.

Is there a way to disconnect a laptop lcd screen and use it in a video port from a regular desktop computer ?
This may not be the forum for this but any help would be appreciated, moderators move this if this not where it belongs.
Thanks to all.

The simple answer is no, if you obtain a bare bones LCD screen, it requires a special driver firmware, which in the case of the Laptop is usually built into the MB. The separate PC LCD monitors accept VGA/SVGA signal and have built in LCD drivers.
If you obtain a Bare LCD screen then you can get a card that fits a PC slot to drive the LCD, these usually have dedicated processor IC's designed for LCD drive matrixing.
If you visit the EarthLCD site, it will show examples.
