I have a Haas minimill up and running using their ethernet option. Serving from a broadband router running DCHP static address. Connects the mill to a Win XP PC.
When I start up the mill everything is fine, I can read files from the host PC. After appx. 30 minutes everything on the Haas locks up. CNC control still works but all communications (floppy, hard drive, ethernet, usb) DEAD. Re-start and everything fine again for another 30 minutes. If I start up without ethernet plugged in no problems, except I can't use the NetShare option which I paid $$$ for!!!
One other wierd thing I can't see the Hass hard drive from the host PC. Machine shows up as on the network but I can't find the harddrive to write from the host to the Hass. Only from the Haas can I copy from the host.... and only for 30 minutes.
Can anyone offer suggestions or help?
Other than the mill, the network seems to work fine.
Thanks for any help, Joe V. |
