hello...i am having a molding problem that seems to be a tough 1 perhaps some one out there can help me along ...I am casting electrical grade epoxy into a heated steel mold that containes wire leads that must run through the part .. Unfortunately the epoxy upon curing seems to seperat from the smooth surface of the wires causing oil to leak through under pressure when assembled into the transformer...if any of you out there have any possiabl solutions i would greatly appreciate it thanx |

| My instinct would be that there is a something vaguely oily on the wires keeping the epoxy from adhering properly. Have you thoroughly degreased the assembly before attempting to pot it? --Cameron Epoxy Nerd from the E/G thread |
