What a rather nice sutiation to be in.. cheered me up no end

A customer rang me on Friday asking for a price on a component that was similar to one we lost a bid on a couple of months ago.

Let's call him Bob.

I phoned him today-

Me: "Bob, thought I'd phone you instead of wasting time on a formal quote. We didn't get that last job cos we came in about double who you went for. This one's gonna be similar costs, about £420 per. Can't see how it can be made cheaper to the requirements mate, sorry".

Bob: "Between me and you Iain, the other supplier was no where near the quality you made. Might have been cheaper, but we put up with their crap quality for a year on another product which we dual sourced with you and our customer noticed the difference between yours and theirs. I'll give you our Order Number right now if you're coming in at that."

Me: "No problem Bob, I'll get you a formal quote".

Muahaha! I love making nice stuff *bounces*
