I am a professional wood turner and need to get a skew made to my specks. Since I am going to spend the money I was interested in the edge holding ability of Titanium. www.turningaround.org |

| Titanium is a very strong material, but it doesn't hold an edge worth a damn. You are far better using one of the new super alloy steels, like CPM 30V. They are easier to work with than Ti, and are extremely strong. Cheaper too. |

| even if you could hold an edge with titanium ,it s not cheap stuff to be playing with , you d be able to buy a few chunks of decent tool steels for the price you'd pay for titanium ,t1 would probably do the trick , or d2 gets really hard with a little heat to it i ve made a lot of chipper heads and blades for the wood mills and most blades were t1 |
