| If you want to lear the basics get some cheap fiberglass and resin and play with it. MUCH cheaper than carbon fiber and almost as cool, plus it pretty much handles the same as far as layup and molding. Matt |

| Hi, This is my first post on this site, my name is Steve and I own RaceComp. We make all types of composite parts from high tek parts for the medical industry to decorative show parts for Superbikes. Dont get confused with the different process that are use in the composite industry. All our parts are made from pre-preg carbon and autoclave cured under vacuum, high pressure and heat; it is a far cry from dabbing a bit of resin on some dry carbon. The pre-preg set-up is very costly to start with, with elevated temperatures and high pressures that are used in the process, tooling is the biggest issue. A normal fibreglass moult would not last 5 minutes in an Autoclave. It truly is an awesome product, the designs and application are endless. Have a look at our site; it's a bit out of date now!!! Well overdue for a makeover. www.racecomp.com.au |
