    routing laminates

What is the term used to describe the laminate material that shows a different colour underneath when routed/inscribed? Is this just called a laminate? (for example, Tufnol is used to make jigs).

Where can I get hold of a laminate (in the UK) that is made up of different colour layers? (so that as the cutter goes deeper a different colour shows).

    Cheers.

    W I L L,

I use a lot of this stuff for machining wing cutting templates for modellers and buy it from a place in Runcorn, I think!!!! I'll check when I get home and re-post if I remember. It is cheaper than the laminate from Formica and buying it direct from the supplier is also cheaper.

Just done a quick search and the company name is Amari Plastic - you can find them at www.amariplastics.com There will be a branch somewhere near you.

    Mike
