Surface Coating Curved Mold
Hello all,
I'm trying to put a surface coat on a curved mold surface without it sagging, running, or creating vastly different thicknesses of resin. Any advice on technique and/or the proper epoxy/gel coat to use for this application? My parts are out of epoxy, so whatever i use must be compatible. THANKS!

Are you trying to coat the mold or apply a surface layer to the mold which will be bonded to your parts?
I use Duratec for mold surfaces. For a surface layer on a part, any gel coat laid down with a cup gun at 20-30 mil thickness should pretty well hold its shape and not run or sag.
You can find everything I mentioned at fibreglast.com

...And those polyester gel coats on fibreglast.com are compatible with epoxy?

Thanks for answering my question...
The epoxy surface coat I linked to is an epoxy gel coat. You can't use poly or vinyl ester gelcoat with epoxy resin. You've provided almost no information so it's hard to help.
