Default I wish you better luck with Mesa Electronics

I have never came across a company that "deals" with customers this way.

8 weeks wasted waiting for an in stock part, and designing an interface for it.

    LinuxCNC: Mesa (1/2)

Hope you guys do better. Oh, and don't complain when they ignore your communication.

I'm waiting 6 1/2 weeks for my order, it's still marked "Pending".

It took several calls before they finally shipped my order after 3 weeks. No reply to emails. Their excuse was that they had big Oem blanket PO's. That tells me they have little idea how to run the logistics side of a business. You get blanket PO's month's in advance, the only reason you'd shut down the rest of your business to meet them is poor planning. Good products though.

If you paid by credit card then you are NOT getting your product. Why ??

Go to the Linuxcnc thread I linked to in the first post (there's 2 pages to that thread). You'll see PCW himself stating that a credit card funds hold only lasts 4 weeks. The thing is I had to ask him about that after waiting EIGHT weeks, and getting ALL communication attempts ignored. So my order had been dead for four weeks and I was not informed about it. Then all I get is a very blunt "I'll cancel your order".

Let's just say I'm furious with Mesa. No apologies, no offer to fix the problem after waiting 8 weeks, nothing. Their products might be good but they treat customers like dogs and they make absolutely no attempt to put something right.

How many others have ordered with credit card and have waited over 4 weeks. Their orders are now dead and I bet Mesa is not telling any of them yet these customers are still waiting hoping Mesa will get round to sending them their purchases.

Many of the boards people are ordering are listed as in stock yet they can't even put an order in a box and post it. If business is so good then surely they could hire some temporary help to deal with everything, seems not though.

Oh. Is that the case. This is my first experience with Mesa.I just confirmed my first order for around 350 dollars last week. I just got an order confirmation number. What do you think. Going by your experience, shall I start calling them now, because you say they hardly answer emails.

I can tell you, it pisses me off. My credit card statement shows the money taken out.

Like most online stores, we do not take any money out when the order is placed, but the credit card company puts a temporary hold (30 days) on the
funds to guarantee that we can be paid when we ship the item (when we capture the funds). I apologize for the very late deliveries
but in addition to being very busy, I have been recovering from surgery and my wife has been sick which has led to orders timing out
which in turn makes more work.

And the punchline is that when it crossed my mind (after waiting EIGHT weeks and ALL emails being ignored) I thought to ask if that temporary hold period runs out after a certain time.
Your **** answer was then, "It runs out after 30 days, I'll cancel your order".

Thanks once again for that nice kick in the teeth:

    LinuxCNC: Mesa (1/2)

No apology, no offer to resubmit the order, nothing, just waste eight weeks of my time then cancel my order. In the thread where you did that I'd already stated it's been 5 weeks since I ordered and you didn't mention my order was already dead seeing as the 30 day period was over. I'd still be waiting now if I hadn't thought to ask you the question.

Why don't you inform everyone up front. This situation has been going on for months. Stop taking orders if your company cannot even put an in-stock board in a box and send it out. At the very least inform them up front, and you'll have less headaches too. All you are doing right now is advertising products that you know you can't deliver. And when someone gets pissed off and starts shouting out because all their communication attempts are ignored you just cancel their order.

So your general apology and excuses mean nothing after what you did to me and are continuing doing to do to lots of other customers. You supposedly have a zillion OEM orders to see to so stop screwing us little fish around if you can't deliver. Tell us when Mesa is capable of putting in-stock cards in a box and sending them out and stop wasting our time.

LinuxCNC: Ordering parts from Mesa - how long before shipped (1/1)

    LinuxCNC: EuSurplus Mesa stock (1/1)

You are running a business and offering a product. If you are sick and can't supply, let everyone know what the situation is, and how bad it is so they can choose whether or not to order from you. Continuing to accept orders when you know you can't supply is just asking for a reaction.

I heard one case where I guy called them repeatedly because all his emails were being ignored and his order got sent out after 3 weeks, so perhaps calling them could get your order some attention.

    Good luck.
