Setting Tool Height

We have a large older Komo router with 4 main heads, attached to the 4 mains are 8 auxiliary routers. We are looking for a faster way of matching tools from 1 router to the next due to we run multiple parts at 1 time. Currently we place the tools in the 4 routers on the right end of the machine. Lower those units down 1 at a time to touch off the part they will be machining. Then tighten the tool in the corresponding router on the left end by touching the left part. This is very time consuming. Is there an adjustable gauge that could be used to match tools up at the machine? Or does anyone have another idea as to how to match tools up w/out touching off the parts? The 4 mains are BT-30’s so we can set the tools up off line.

Buy me a Beer?
Can't you just use a block to set them all the same?

One block would not work due to the variety of tooling used in these heads. We used dovetail, 1/16” – ½” bits, along with differnt types of boring bits & countersinks. Some tools are out of the collet ½” some of the boring bits are out 4”. This is why we are looking for an adjustable tool.

We do have a tool presetter. As far as I know it only works with tools that the whole tool holder detaches from the motor, Ex. HSK, BT-30’s & 40’s, etc. We do use the presetter on our 4 main spindles this machine has, due to they are BT-30’s. These small auxiliary routers do not have detachable tool holders; the collet cup is right on the end of the spindle. What I am trying to find is something to set tools in routers that we must placed the tool and collet in at the machine. Or at the very least match the tools from one router to the next. Router 5 & 9, will have the same tools, 6 & 10 will have matching tools, etc. When the tools are installed by hand this makes it impossible to match the tools without touching them to something.
I was hopeing to find something similar to a presetter, but with a magnetic base that would attach to the motor and allow us to set the tools.

There are several threads in this forum that talk about ways to touch off the bits using a switch or ground contact.
Here's one
Tool setting probe

Do a forum search for 'set Z height'
