Aspire and Cabinetmaking part 2

rocket yall are gonna love this!!

ryan patterson of http://www.cabinetpartspro.com/ has created a nesting program that allows me to define my door sizes then nest and produces a parametric .dxf that when imported into Aspire allows me to add details and carvings. thanks to ryan this makes mdf door production to a small shop possible with out spending BIG bucks on software and IT guys.

parametric scripts allow for constant vectors from on door to the next both are nesting programs aspire is not parametric

look for save to door not save to dxf

So you can make one door at a certain width and height, add all your details and cravings, but if you need another door with different dimensions you can scale everything together?

the carvings may have to be copied and pasted per each size door, it was the mdf door part that got me interested as door cad was 3500+ and cad did not nest, i had been doing this with asoire one set of sizes at a time.

Thumbs up Excellent Timing

Jim, One of my first projects with the new machine is to make my wife a new set of kitchen cabinets. This is going to make it so much easier.

Cabinetpartspro at $250USD has to be great value, and the nesting software for only $47 USD extra sounds like excellent buying to me. Sold!

I see that Ryan now accepts Paypal on his site. My son has Paypal, so we are going to order it today.

The Parametric programming will save a lot of time for us.

Thanks.

Rocket.

Jim, thanks - that will be excellent.

I know that Ramon has one of them worked out, but there are a few combinations.

Fortunately, we already have the full set of whiteside MDF Door Bits. Ramon has been asking me to order a couple more of the 5720 bits. This is one of the main bits that he has been using for over a year now! He says it is a bit blunt. Guess i had better get him some more.

We also use several Replaceable Insert Bits.

Here are some photos - hope you can make out the profiles.

Rocket.
