Is there someone with a shopbot around?

I want to build a shopbot clon and IŽll appreciate if someone that has a shopbot (www.shopbottools.com) could answer some questions about diemnsions and sizeing of the machine. My doubts are:
    1. size and gauge of the angles used for the rais
    2. size and gauge of the parts used on the gantry
    3. specs of the step motors (are they the same on the 3 axis)
    4. size of the vee bearings
    5. size of the rack and pinion used
    Thanks for any help...
    Regards,
    Hector

    my dad has a shopbot.
i can get you all this info around tomorrow or so the next time i go home.
    what i know for now:
Angle is i believe 1.5x1.5x3/16? the top surface the bearings ride on has been milled/surfaced/or somehow ground.
the main rails of the gantry are 3x3 box i believe.
Pretty sure all the steppers are the same.
the vee bearings are same as these
    item number 3672K11 at www.mcmaster.com
rack and pinion not sure but can find out.

    Hi,

I have a question: Are there other routers (commercial) like shopbot besides ez-router? I mean the same solution/construction? If, YES, could you tell me which one?

    Thank you,

    Zoltan

I haven't seen any other than the EZ, but I can tell you that the EZ is a crappy clone. The rails aren't ground to a V (creating pressure points), and I highly doubt they're hardened. What this all amounts to is the V-rollers will more than likely wear down the rails unevenly over time, causing Z-axis irregularily when you traverse across the X.

    Hi,

Thank you. I read in several places on net about several clones of shopbot, but without exact indication and never seen others than ez-router. Still curious if there are others (commercial type).
