Hi
I am interested in maximizing vacuum table holdown force. I currently have a 48" x 96" wooden plate with typical square pattern cut into it. I then usually top it with a 1/2" MDF sheet with outer edge "O" ring. I have 4 intakes at the front of the table to the 10hp "Travaini" vacuum pump. I find the rear end of the table does not hold as good as the front. Are there better ways to hold down material?

Can you move the inlets toward the center? And make sure you seal the MDF, especially the edges.

Is it common to add 4 more intakes at the other end of the table?
Would this help the situation?

You are losing vacuum through the MDF
