Hi Jeff- Over the next month, I'm going to reassemble a used 3 axis machine I purchased secondhand and get it up and running. It is a large, 5 X 10' extruded Alum. router table with a 5hp HSD spindle. I'm going to add a 4th axis, a rotary indexer, in order to produce asymmetrical sculptures (just high density foam). (Think custom wine bottle designs to start, maybe lifesize human figures in a year!?). I have been in contact with Robert Grzesek from MeshCam. He recommended that I talk to you regarding routing using a 4th axis rotary table. I have heard that it was possible to unwrap a model- just heard that it might distort the math a little (I'm guessing that the more cutter paths you create for one model, the more accurate it would be ?). Did you experience this problem? Alias will generate STLs no problem. I will have to figure out if it has the capability to unwrap a model. I don't use Rhino. Thanks for your time Jeff, Ben Julian |

| Not sure why you want to unwrap it? Anyway, I don't believe the Jeff you're looking for posts here. Try the MeshCAM forum, he'll get back to you very quickly there. http://www.grzsoftware.com/forum/
