I'm interested in controlling older Japanese routers with a PC via Mach3, etc... Anybody with any experience doing this? I have a 1991 Shinx in great shape but would like to interface it with a PC. Any thoughts or ideas? |

| You will need to update your control system to accept a step and direction signal, or you may be able to use PWM. If your machine is from 1991, you will no doubt need new drives for your steppers or servos. Check out Gecko drives and Granite devices. What voltage does your system run on? |
