Question Kress Milling Motor

After lots of research, I am preparing to finalize the purchase of a BZT CNC Router Machine. They offer it with a Kress Milling Motor, which as best I can tell, is rated 220V 50Hz only. I like the narrow profile of the Kress- is anyone running it on 120V/60Hz? I can do a step up x-former or a VFD (assuming 3~ Input) but would rather not if I don't have to. I can't find an english manual and am interested in others experiences. THANKS!!

Lee

I purchased one from Kevin (Marchantdice) on EBay. The price was the best as compared to others, and the shipping was fast. I had to change out the electrical plug but that was very easy to do. I would recommend buying a collet clamping nut for every collet you have as it is easier to swap out collets with the nut already attached. K2 CNC also is selling a nice mounting bracket for the Kress on EBay.

Buy me a Beer?
Is Kress 1050 ok?

Hi,
I am to buy a kress 1050W spindle and I would like to know if it can be used for professional daily production (probably not amateur use)...

Also, can it route in diferrent materials and what speeds can it sustain in wood giving that its attached bit is ok?

Thanks...

Kostas.

Buy me a Beer?

Hi,
I think you mean these brushes right?

Also, I think the weight is 1.4kg and not 2.4kg....
Are these customers satisfied with this model?

Kress 1050

Hi,

I have just weighed the Kress 1050 is 2.4kg including the light packing carton.

Customers are very satisfied with this model and the 2 year warrantee...excluding "wear parts" http://www.marchantdice.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=441

Brushes: http://www.worldofcnc.com/products.asp?recnumber=95

Kress in Speed?

Hi,

ok...you mean that the total package weighs 2.4kg, but the tool-weight is 1.7kg according to the constructor

I hope this kress will do my job...my table will be 1.5mX1m, the gantry will weighs about 20kg, and my motors are strong enough (640oz-in),1610 ballscrews will be used so I think that I'll manage to have quite a big speed...
Will Kress 1050 be able to keep up with this?

Kostas...

Hi, Machine feed rate / suitable Kress...
This also depends on the material are you machining and tooling used?

Sorry, what you mean by "Machine feed rate / suitable Kress..."?
Generally I 'll use mostly wood and tools for milling, graving and finishing the object...
