I've just started as IT support for a company that operates 7 Thermwood machines (various sizes, some 3-axis, some 5-axis). All of the machines operate OS/2, which I have used long ago and am somewhat familiar with.

What I cannot seem to find out is if there are any companies that do after-market support on these machines (specifically on the OS/2 controllers). I'm in charge of supporting these from an IT perspective and I would like to have some options if one of the contollers blows out on me. I know that one option is to upgrade the controller to a newer model, but we're looking at $14,000 each to go that route.

I'm also open to advice on steps I can take to recover from possible problems (i.e. is there a way I can backup / restore the system).
