Hello all I am helping a buddy that just bought a Practical CnC router table it is a 4x8 vacuum table. we are having many many problems to start they have the worst customer service and horrible shipping, so after waiting two months to get all the stuff he ordered we got the table set up and began the vacuum side of it so we get the phase converter hung and call the electrician to wire it, he looks at it and says no I will not wire this it is not UL approved and is built very very bad, they are using aluminum and brass connectors in their not copper....but brass. so while the electrician is sorting out that with the company(he said he will go after them with this) we started working on running the router it self, they did not send a configured setup file with the machine is this something that we need to do? so I had to figure out all the settings for the ports and for the outputs on the servos and spindle, I cant get the spindle to turn on with the software(or from the computer for that matter) I have no idea what the port numbers are, or if they made the machine to do it, I have a fare amount of cnc programing and g-code experience but i don't know much about the con-fig and setting up machines we are using the wincnc program but it seems pretty basic for operation the last table program I used was torchmate and it worked good but this seems difficult. also on a router table do you need to set spindle height and each tool offset not sure if you do this like a milling center. any help would be appreciated. sorry for the long post |

wincnc and vcarve pro (your gonna love it!!) if we can just get you running i get the impression you do not have the machine wired up yet to the controller box can you post digital photos of what you are talking about?? on wiring load your wincnc into your computer, you should have a pci card with a daughter board attached this will have to be installed in your computer follow the instruction that came with wincnc or use the manual i provided dont worry about vcarve yet first you gotta get running jim |
