Hi. I'm using a scm Record machine with a Prisma head. I've used alphacam to draw for it, and for 3 axis stuff it's ok. But for more complex 5 axis programs, I find it very difficult to work with. It's not very user friendly. I import 3d models from other software, because to model in alphacam seems close to impossible. but to make toolpaths on the model takes forever. So I'm wondering if there is another CAM program out there that can export 5 axis programs to xilog? thank's  |

What type of 3d model are you importing...? We are looking at SCM 5-axis router and they want us to buy Alphacam with it... I from what I have seen am thinking Alphacam or Camworks... I think Camworks would work for you but then you need a post processor for it. |
