    Multicam 3000 Unloads Tool Holder

I have been training someone to use our Multicam 3000 router, but today I noticed that the tool holder gets unloaded after every job. I was wondering if someone pressed a setting on the keypad, or how do I keep the tool loaded again?

that sounds like someone changed a setting in the controler how well do you know the controler for the multicam i happen to have on in the shop so i can try and help you with it but i think thats a settnig. But just to make sure i understand what you are saying is that it goes back to the tool rack and unloads the tool or dose it just drop the tool on the table (i have had that happen machine had a hissy fit)

It might be that the program you are running tells it to change to a different (empty) tool at the end of your program for some reason, check the last few lines of g-code and see if it calls for a tool change, may be as simple as that. I have several multicams here, occasionally if I change tool numbers manually in an editor, I will forget to check the end of the progam. Check for a G00 T# near the end of program. Might just solve that mystery.

Are you writing the code by hand or a cad/cam?

could very well bee a setting in the controller, there is a param that does that exact thing, id have to dig up my multicam stuff to find which is, but I have their full parameter listing. I am a fully trained multicam tech, left the local distributor due to some diffrences about customer service.

"Menu, ATC, Tool Unld, Disable Unload" disables automatic unload at the end of a job.
