TPA - PTP400 Is there anyone who knows this CNC?

Hi,

I came across this controller and I dont have any manual. I found by looking at other ISO programs that I can use L, H and S in the code to designate Lenght, Height and Thickness. But, what I would like to know is if there are other variables to use.

CNC90, another TPA more recent controller allows us to use A-I letters as variables. I wonder if PTP400 has it too.

I have a parametric program I need to write and any help is apriciated.

I trying to repair a friends Alberti Vittorio 'Uno' NC Borer. It uses a TPA, PTP200n controle board. The Y axis moves but does not count and therefor will not stop before it hits the emergincy stops at the end of its travel. I'v been looking for a schematic or some technical advice with no success. I've tried contacting TPA, but did not get a response. I would appreciate any advice.

seams to me that it is the encoder of the y-axis motor that have broken, or connections to it. (if the encoder is totaly disconnected it will run the axis at full speed until it stops by the emergency switch..) I bought an encoder from V.alberti this summer, turned out it wasent the problem. the encoder counted but didn´t stop where it should and therefor showed an error message. turnd out it was the servocard for the motor(located in the computerbox) that haved broken beacuse it was a fault in the motor itself.

Cost for an encoder should be about 200$ I think..

Originaly I thought the same thing. I pulled the encoder and resoldered all the conections, even replaced the caps. I can see the indicator LEDs on the back of the encoder blinking when the motor is turning, also the display on the TPA flashes between 1-0 when the motor turns. This tells me the encoder is sending signal to the controle. Right? The fact that it is not counting the 1's and 0's or is being constantly reset, is the direction I am leaning. I swaped the 2 "direction desriminator" chips with no change. one is definiately for the X axis and the other for the Y axis. I've tested all the diodes and opto-couplers. The X axis works fine ruling out the crystal and microprocessor. I'm not sure where else to look without a schematic. I greatly appreciate your insight, and your experience. I sent another email to TPA, and now I'll try to contact V. Alberti thanks to you. Thanks again for everything. Please let me know if you think of anything else.

How is the best or rightest way to do this ? On Floppy i have fileformat that i cant read and some one that i can read ! Need i a translater from Iso to Valberty specially format ?
