    Too many CNC's...how to choose??

I'm new here and have already gleaned a lot of info, but could use a little more if there's anyone out there. I'm working with around $15-$25K for a CNC router. I've looked at shopbot, and shop sabre seems popular, has anyone tried the new Cam-wood?? THey look impressive but are a little more loot. I had no idea there were so many and probably most any would do, but I don't want a rattlebox but if it's accurate, I can't see spending another 10-15 grand because of a little vibration. I know this has been discussed a fair amount but I really wondered about the cam-wood and if anyone had more thoughts overall. Thanks, Peter

From what I've read & looked at on the net, Cam-wood, is just another china built machine, looks like the same one on ebay etc., just a new paint job.

I think a bunch of guys are importing the machines from china then rebrand it with a new name. You'll find a few threads here on the zone, about them.

I would stick with a control that is well supported, they don't say what control it runs http://www.factorynew.com/BrandFeatu...Brand=CAM-WOOD

Came in late on this thread.....but just too update new users...
This company does import China built machines. It's China don't expect much.
They pretty much suck. I consider myself to be a pretty good business man, but buying one of these still holds the record of biggest business mistakes made.
Very poorly built, spindle bearings burned up after couple hundred hours. Camwood would not stand behind the warranty and I have a list too long to post here of troubles I have had with it over 2 years. They have large employee turnover so you basically have zero support. Buyer beware. Buy American if you can and spend the extra money on a better machine. In fact that is exactly what the sales manager at ExFactory told me....."It's Chinese, if you want a better machine you'll have to trade it in on a different CNC." Too bad that was after the machine was on the floor.
Now I know why it's called EX-Factory, we divorced soon after.
