    Multicam gang drill

    can anybode tell me if one can zero your horizontal drills on a gang drill fitted to a Multicam router? and how do u call that tool offsets with your g-code?

    wow, now i see what you mean! its funny sometimes you ask for options and they say theyre not available and then your run into something like this! so drills 1 thru 7fire vertically while 9 & 8 fire horizontally.

    well i would think that the lenghts on for the horizontall drills are going to be static (drill lenght would always be the same as long as you replace it with the same drill). It still would need to know the z value. so you'd have to get calibrate it the same probably as the other drills except that you would have to throw something on top of your spoilboard, so the bottom of the drill would not hit material while calibrating it.

    You also have to run with surface at the bottom at the material as the controller is going to have to know how thick the material is and that there is enough clearence for the drill to actually do its work.

    It be great to see a picture of this machine!
