hardeware pause pause detected?????

looking for help with a hardware pause problem we just got a used conquest 1224 router it has a problem it boots up with "hardware pause" and sometimes in the middle of run it just come up with an error "hardware pause" no pattern to it.
the pendant is acting up but i dont think the 2 problems are connected. the screen on the pendant will not display some times. Any ideas thanks jim

I found it a wire had broke off inside the conduit on the backside of the gantry on one of the e stops. thnaks Jim C
