Initially, I was looking at a sandblasting system that can be used on glass and wood for carving designs. But I starting reading about a CNC router and it has peaked my interest. Are there any portable CNC machines on the market at a reasonable price? (Under $5,000) Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. |
The Compucarve is an excellent machine, with excellent support. What may of the people here 'think' about the Compucarve isn't based on actual experience, but rather on anonymous internet bashing with no real basis.
For what you're doing, though, it may not be the product for you; it doesn't have a bit or ability to do any glass carving. It can carve plastics like lexan or plexi, though.
Sorry you've been getting misinformation on the Compucarve. Just know that it's not come from a position of knowledge. I've got two, they both work well, and do exactly what they were designed to do.
