There's a listing on eBay for a very interesting looking router/plasma machine. Take a look at these pictures ... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWA:IT&ih=018 There are two other machines on the pages linked from the eBay listing: http://www.linearpro.com/ebay1.htm http://www.linearpro.com/32x32/100_0423.jpg They appear very creative, though I don't know how well they work. The carriages with the direct-mounted motor are really neat. In the last machine (32x32) the mounting of the x-axis rails above the gantry is different. I haven't seen anybody do that before (not that I've seen all the machines ever built though). |
