Hello I have been hanging around and learning for a while now and I have now taken the plunge. I am purchasing a bobcad router. I understand they havnt been made for about 5 years. This is a new machine that was never finished. I am going to finish it. Has anyone heard of this machine? any experience with it? Thanks JK |

| I purchased it from a private party. Its a nwe machine that had not been finished. The work on it stoped 5 years ago. It had just been sitting around sucking up floor space in the guys way. I think I need to resize a couple pics, I will do that tonight and post them. Here is a couple that did work |

| Here it is mocked up. Uses HSR 25 rails and cars. Set up for steppers. Cutting envelope is 50x51x12. I am impressed with how stout it is. I plan to have it working by March. Any tips or direction I would apreciate. |

| wow runin, what do you use for a shop light, an LED keychain? ![]() im thinking you turned the lights off so no one see the mess in the shop. the machine looks interesting tho, how thick are the alumium uprights? was the base part of it? are there any diagonals on the base frame? I can imagine that thing starting to sway with that weight on it, and some hopefully rather high speed movements. Keep the pictures coming. ed

Its just the way my flash is on my camera, and the shop is clean right now!!Uprights are 1" cast aluminum tooling plate. Yes the base was part of it. I got it just as you see it. No x braces. The original designer/builder is a friend of a friend. He came by my shop again today, to check progress. I lucky to have his help. He wants to see it up and running. Feb is build the router month. Stay tuned, more pics and questions coming. |
