I am having some problems with this machine. My configuration is: Techno LC4896 Porter Cable motor Enroute My main issue right now is speed/quality. When doing a hatch fill on shapes smaller than let's say 1 1/2" the edges distort at speeds above 25 ipm. It was suggested that perhaps the bearings in the spindle could be the culprit, but I have used several of the same motor before and never seen this. Techno has not responded. Can anyone help troubleshoot this? TIA, Wes |

| Call Techno, I'm sure they will help. They have good documents for checking machine alignment etc. I have a 054 gantry machine which shares a lot of parts with the LC but I have a spindle not a PC router. You don't mention bit size, depth of cut, material etc. Do simple test cuts like the box test come out OK ? |

| I'm running a LC4896 with PC. If you want to send me the Gcode I will run it on my machine and photo the results. Normally, I remove the material with a volume or pocket cut operation and then profile the outer walls of the pocket. Bob |

| I have 2 Techno LC machines. a 4896 and a 59120. I am crazy about both of them, and have yet to have an issue. For your problem, Maybe you could run a simple grid of 12" squares and circles and see how they look over the length of the table. Just a thought. |
