Need help with: Komo VR 512 CNC Router

    http://www.cncrouter.net/CNC%20Route...r_mach_iii.htm
To be specific, the Router on the top right of this page.

The control where the computer is located has shorted out or something. Komo wants to charge 10k to repair it. Is there any kind of instruction manuals for these things so that I can bypass whatever crap they have in it? Or is there anyway to get rid of the computer they have built into the control panel and hook in a faster home made computer?

    Thanks for any info

There are many company's that offer retrofit kits, but I'd guess that it would probably cost at least $5K to go that route, and unless you really know what you're doing, would take quite a bit of time.

If it were me, I'd pay the $10K.
You might be able to find a local machine repair company that can repair it for less.

$10,000.00 is so much money to fix a computer with a Pentium III 500mhz and 64MB Ram. I guess I'll see what can happen this week.
