    ESAB Sign Mate 1000

Hey everybody. We recently inherited an old ESAB Sign Mate 1000 router and I had a question regarding the collets. If anyone has any experience with this router - is there any way to identify the type of collet so I can order new ones? There's no information in any of the manuals I have. This thing was made in 1989, and I'm assuming some of the literature has disappeared since then.

Depends on what spindle you have, I've serviced and retrofit these for the last few years and of the 8 machines I've worked on (and the one cybermation I own) no two are even remotely similar, seems that they used whatever they had lying about.

should you have any more questions, you can email me at erie at shelbyvilledesign dot com
