Total CNC newbie looking for a router

I have been researching CNC for a couple of months at the most, asked questions and learned a few things...that's as far as I've gotten. Looking thru the extensive list of machines for sale here, I see many, (most even), are from China. What experiences if any have you all had with dealing with Chinese machines and support/comunication? Would any of you make a recomendation for or against? What about the truthfulness of their advertising and claims of quality, is it there? I am looking for a 4'x8' CNC with a vaccuum table and auto tool change.

    Thanks,
    Jack

I would say that before you buy a machine from China, talk to someone who's purchased a machine from that specific company.

There are several threads here about very poor quality.
There are also a few threads from people that are very happy with their machines.

Unless you have some firsthand experience from a vendor, it's really difficult to know what you're getting.

This is 1 machine and company I have been looking at, Jinan JinShengXing Machinery Manufacture CO.,LTD. ;there are so many others I don't know who to trust, it's a little scary, thinking of sending money off to China, and then just waiting for a steamer to arrive here at the mainland with the tool, and then wondering what costitutes quality in their minds, vs. my mind.

Gerry couldn't have laid it out better! Definitely be careful where you buy from and certainly look through previous threads regarding the quality.
