    DesktopCNC routers

First time here , and looking for a reasonably priced CNC router. Am considering the Fireball V90, with PC spindle, and all the extras. Im trying to keep it under $2000, but want it to work !!! Seems like there are alot of people here, who know what they are talking about, wish I was one of them, but am not. Any suggestions would be very appreciated.

    Check out microcarve....

There is a fellow in the CNC router forums on the zone here that is named Microcarve who makes some VERY nice small footprint MFD build routers that are excellent and even capable of milling aluminum pretty good. They seem very well made and use linear ground roud guideways. I am thinking about trying to make my own version to play with. Very cool and nice design.. You might also consider an aluminum one like those made by widgitmaster..... here is a link... peace

    WIll do

Thanks Pete, I will check them out. I have also thought about building my own, I run a Biesse Rover at work, and could cut out anything I could possibly need. I dont do the actual programming, but I can cut, drill, dado, and do , sometimes more from my keyboard then they can send out to me. Have seen a few on the web, homemade, and know thats an option too. Of course the older I get, the easier it is to , Buy. I make wooden cars and trucks and planes, and a cnc could do 75% of the cuts I do now .
    Thanks again, Dave
