    Recommendations on noise isolation solutions

    Hi

I am about to place a CNC machine in my garage.
To keep the peace with my neighbors I am looking for a solution that will contain the sound to the confines of the garage.
I will be grateful for recommendations on acoustic isolating materials and the geometry of the surface of such materials?

    Thank you
    Ariel

if the garage is insulated you might add insulation board to the back of the door

Insolating the door is a good idea. I did that T my old house. One thing to note you might need to have the door springs adjusted. The added weight of the insolation can through off the balance. That is what happened to me.

Anotheare idea, if it is a bench top cnc, is to build a case that goes around the machine. I have seen where others have done that. Put some kind of plastic glass on one or more sides then insolate the others. I think you will need a good dust collector attached to make this work.
