Default CNCSTEP or STEPCRAFT or SOMETHING ELSE?

I'm trying to buy my first (actually SECOND router first) and I've narrowed it down to a CNCSTEP (S1000) and a STEPCRAFT (840).

I was hoping to find some feed back on them here but I cannot.

Is there something else out there that you guys like better?

I first looked at an OMIOCNC from China and though I liked what I saw I wanted to "step up" to something that was maybe a little better.

I am disabled and need a reliability factor that I assumed the GERMAN machines would have.

Opinions Please! I need opinions and/or or experiences.

    HELP!

    I have the stepcraft.

Its the worst machine in the world. Stay away from it like fire.

Its belt drive and old old old design.

Superoverpriced and dont let the German fool u. Its full of factory defects.

Id go for a chinese monster in that price.

I had come to that conclusion as well.

The whole "belt drive" thing bothered me too.

The real problem, that turned me off was their USA customer service. I asked, multiple times, for a quote over the last 6-7 weeks and never got it.

If you treat me like that when we're "dating" what will you treat me like when we're "married"???
