Default BTW - Phoenix GS CNC Router

The company did go out of business, or otherwise dissolve. However, I think that some of the main employees, or principals from the company are now with CNC Auto Motion out of Warren, PA. The same town that Magnum/Phoenix was located in. I talked to someone on the phone there once, and they were pleasant and helpful, but he did not know a whole lot about my particular machine. Check out their site at CNC Auto-Motion - Simplex Educational CNC Routers looks like they still make a very similar machine.

    Hi Dave

. I am a high school woodworking teacher in St. Albert, Alberta, Canada. Our local trade school gave the high school this Pheonix HQR-HL CNC Router made by Magnum Machine.

Our students have dismantled it and used the components to build a larger CNC router. The controller and step motors work well when using the various jog We have no manual and no drivers or software. I saw your 2011 post on CNC zone. com. I am hoping you can help us. Would you be willing to share what you have for this machine? Thanks
    Dennis

Just got a Phoenix GS running with ChiliPeppr/G2core on Arduino Due/custom (simple) shield/original stepper motor controllers, motors and power supplies.
I want to install home/limit switches on the machine. Space is tight in the cabinet.
Might someone who has added limit switches share some photos of how you did it (switch location/mounting/cable routing)?
    Thanks
    Brian
